Learn Guitar For Church Playing

There’s no greater honor than to stand before your congregation and play guitar for worshipers of Christianity! Singing praises to the Lord with your fellow church members is one of the most awesome experiences any one can have.

God has given us talents to sing his praises and playing guitar for the church is one of the greatest ways to glorify God. There are several well known duets, solo artists and even bands that go from church to church playing gospel music for God’s glory. You too can learn guitar for god praising.

Going to Church is Not in the Bible

There is nothing righteous about a building. There is also nothing righteous about a home or a living room. Most people agree that the building where people meet is not the church.

It’s funny though how 99 out of 100 individuals will emphatically nod their head and say “Right, the building is not the church.” But, then ten minutes later if you point to a religious building with a steeple on top and say, “What is that?” They’ll say, “It’s a church.”

Surviving an American Church Split

In his book entitled “Exit Interviews,” William D. Hendricks writes something astonishing: “Almost all growth reported by North American churches today is the result of church switching and birthrate within the churches rather than conversion growth.”

He’s referring to transfer growth rather than new converts. In other words, it’s easier to go to a restaurant and order baked fish than to catch and clean our own.

Church Music – The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Over the past couple of decades the “praise band” has become more and more popular in churches. In the past, the only way the average church member participated in the music was singing the hymns with everyone else or singing in the choir. Either way they were singing with a larger group, so if they weren’t very good at singing, it didn’t matter. With the advent of the praise band, that changed and the result has sometimes been pretty bad. So, what do you do when someone who isn’t very good wants to be a part of the band?
